Today’s small businesses need to be good digital marketers to be noticed in the online arena. We must be competent in a whole host of skills, including SEO and analytics, content marketing and copywriting, online sales, and digital media. Not to mention having technical skills for website design and development. Yikes!
The modern-day digital world is overwhelming! Unless you are able to invest thousands of dollars to hire people to help you, many small businesses are left in the dust with outdated websites and social media that is not serving their business needs. Specialized training is a must if you want to DIY the online components of your business. But where can you find someone to help you with your specific needs?!
This is why we designed these Forums – to help business owners close their online marketing skills gap, In these workshops you will learn how to remain relevant in a quickly changing marketplace, and get ongoing support in promoting their businesses online.
I’m partnering with my colleague, Milly Welsh, over at Zebralove Web Solutions to offer these workshops. Registration is online, fast and simple! When you register you will be directed to Zebralove for Forum registration and payment. I hope to see you at one of our Digital Marketing Forums!

When a consumer is looking for something, be that a product, service, information, or even your business’ location or business hours, most turn to online search engines. If you would like people to find your business online, there is no more important effort to make than search engine optimization (SEO) of your website. In this session, we take this confusing, daunting subject and explain it in a straightforward manner. We will cover the basics of optimizing your website for search engine indexing results (how your site ends up on people’s searches). Topics covered include: how SEO works, choosing keywords for your business, how to optimize your website using keywords and search terms effectively, setting meta, image, and alt tags for search engine indexing, and creating your SEO sitemap for your site.

NOTHING impacts the effectiveness of your website as much as your content! Without well-written, optimized content, you cannot be successful with SEO efforts long-term, and no one will return to your website which kills your traffic (and impacts your organic SEO!). Blogging is an easy way to build your content on your website, and it gives you a perfect forum to showcase your expertise. It builds your organic SEO because search engines love new content! Blogs can also provide unlimited content for your social media posts, newsletters, email marketing, and other marketing content needs. This session will cover how to plan new content, developing an Editorial Calendar, parts of a blog, and the writing process. You DO NOT need to be a great writer to have great content – and we’ll show you how in this session.
