Content Development & Copywriting
Once you have paid in full for any content and copywriting completed for your business or organization, it belongs to you! We do not retain the rights to any marketing content, copy or website content. Please note: formal copyright paperwork and/or documentation to protect from copyright infringement must be done by the client.
To register for a copyright for your website, blogs or other digital content, go to the U.S. Copyright Office’s online Registration Portal to complete an application under the category of “Other Digital Content.”
Payments & Invoicing
Most projects require a 50% down-payment of the projected costs at project commencement. Projects will not be initiated or added to the work schedule until down-payment is received or arrangements have been made.
If we have finished the work requested for a project, but are waiting on information from the client to complete the project, we reserve the right to invoice and request payment in full for the remainder of the project balance. Of course, we will be happy to complete the project in full, as agreed upon, once we receive your information.
Digital Marketing Packages & Plans
Our Monthly Digital Marketing plans require a minimum 6-month Agreement. Payment is required on the 1st of each month for that calendar month. We require a minimum of 30 days’ notice to cancel any monthly marketing plan.
Hourly Rates
Our hourly rate is $75 – $100/hour depending on the service being rendered. You will be notified of the hourly rate charged when an hourly work agreement is entered into.
Website Costs
Any stock images necessary for a website, not indicated in the proposal costs, will be invoiced as a separate line item on the final invoice. Stock images average $5/each.
Sometimes there are additional fees for plug-ins (software) for different site functionality that we do not anticipate at the Proposal phase. We will always discuss these costs with you, and you will be invoiced for them as part of your final invoice.
Once a new website has been designed and the layout and content completed, we will email you with a link to review your website. It is very important that you take the time to fully review your site for functionality, and to ensure we have included all your content and marketing details. While you will have another opportunity to review your site and any content added after this review, any major changes to layout or functionality at the end of a project may result in an additional charge. Typically, two-rounds of copy editing is included in website project costs, as indicated in the proposal agreement. Additional copy edits and changes may result in additional charges.
Software & Platform Membership Fees
Any ongoing/annual/monthly fees for added software are the responsibility of the client. Email-newsletter platforms such as ConstantContact and MailChimp have monthly membership fees based on list size. These costs are the responsibility of the client and billed directly between the platform and the client.
Objectionable Content Policy
Castle Media Co. has a zero-tolerance policy regarding Objectional Content. The working relationship will be terminated immediately should content include, but is not limited to: sexually explicit materials; obscene, violent, slanderous, defamatory or unlawful content; hate speech, bullying or harassment; content that infringes upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or other proprietary right; that is deceptive or fraudulent; or that promotes the sale or use of illegal substances and activities.
